Iponance for Android: Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026 Contact: cadiinnovations@gmail.com

In short

Iponance keeps your money records private. There is no Iponance account to sign up for, no ads, and nothing that tracks you. The developer does not collect your information and cannot see anything you enter in the app.

Where your information is kept

Everything you enter stays on your phone, protected so that other apps can't read it. That includes your accounts, spending, budgets, goals, bills, receipt photos and family members.

Your conversations with the assistant are also kept on your phone, and only for 30 days. After that they are deleted automatically.

When information leaves your phone

Only when you choose one of these:

Syncing your phones

  • If you turn on Sync, your information is copied to a hidden space in your own Google Drive so your other phones can stay up to date.
  • It is locked with a sync password that only you know. Google, the developer and anyone else who signs in to your Google account can't read it.
  • Iponance can only see its own hidden space in your Drive, never your other files.
  • If you forget the sync password and lose all your phones, the synced copy can't be recovered by anyone, including the developer.

Backups and exports

  • You can save a backup file, or export a spreadsheet or PDF, to a place you choose.
  • Backups can have a password. Once a file leaves the app, keep it somewhere safe.

Exchange rates

  • If you have accounts in other currencies and choose to update rates online, the app asks free public rate services for today's rates.
  • Only the currency names, such as PHP or USD, are sent. Never your amounts or other information.

Features that use Google's services on your phone

  • Reading receipts: receipt photos and bank statements are read on your phone using Google Play services. Iponance does not upload them. Google Play services may share basic performance information with Google, but not your photos or what's in them.
  • On-device AI (optional, supported phones only): if you choose it, Google's on-device AI helps read receipts and understand your messages. It works on your phone, and nothing you enter in Iponance is sent to Google. The first time, your phone may download it from Google.
  • Voice input: when you tap the microphone, your phone turns your speech into text, on the phone when possible. If your phone can't do this on its own, its speech service (often Google) may handle the audio under its own privacy policy. Iponance never records or keeps your voice.

Permissions

  • Camera and photos: only when you scan or choose a receipt.
  • Microphone: only while you speak to the assistant.
  • Notifications: for the reminders you turn on, such as bills and due dates.
  • Fingerprint or face unlock: to open the app, and to confirm it's you before a phone is added to or removed from Sync.
  • Internet: only for Sync, exchange rates, and the Google features above.

Iponance never asks for your location or your contacts.

Moving to a new phone

Android's own backup doesn't include Iponance, because your information is locked to your phone. To move to a new phone, use Backup & Restore or Sync.

Deleting your information

  • Settings › Erase All Data deletes everything from your phone.
  • Uninstalling the app also deletes it from your phone.
  • To delete a synced copy, open Google Drive › Settings › Manage apps › Iponance › Delete hidden app data.

Children

Iponance is meant for adults managing their own money. Parents can keep track of savings for their child in their own app. The child doesn't use the app, and nothing is collected about them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will show it to you again.
